Accounting Executive

Accounting Executive, Admin Unit Partnership & Solutions Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 526345)

 

The Role

The appointee will assist in the following areas:

  • various finance functions for Admin Units/Offices;
  • general accounting duties such as budgetary control, payments and receipts processing, and journal entries preparation and posting;
  • preparation of statement of account for funding bodies;
  • some data entry and clerical work; and
  • any other accounting duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Qualities

  • minimum Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, OR 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics;
  • good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • good knowledge of PC and software applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • experience with Oracle Financials is a plus;
  • self-motivated and good team player, with the ability to work independently;
  • student member of a professional accounting body would have an advantage; and
  • fresh university graduates will also be considered.

 

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
