Applicants should have (i) a PhD or equivalent degree in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines; (ii) extensive research experience in the area(s) of gut microbiota and/or infection biology; (iii) a competitive track record of publications and research achievements; (iv) a good track record of external funding support; and (v) experience in postgraduate student supervision. Collaborative experience and the ability in developing research in different regions will be advantageous.

The appointee will (a) supervise postgraduate students; (b) develop and participate in independent and/or collaborative research projects with universities worldwide and/or in the Asia-Pacific region; (c) secure research funding; (d) manage laboratories and College activities; and (e) undertake related administrative duties.  The appointee will be required to work in Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin and other office as assigned.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation.
