Economist & Strategist

  • Conduct economic, market and policy research for the purpose of analyzing business environment and formulating development strategy for treasury business
  • Provide analysis and forecasts on global IR, FX and commodities markets
  • Prepare market trend and peers’ competition analysis
  • Provide trading/investment strategies from a buy-side perspective, present in seminars and conferences, provide in-house training, as well as perform other research duties like database creation and information search
  • Other ad hoc duties assigned by the management
  • Bachelor degree or above in Economics / Finance obtained from a recognisable or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
  • university (a research based Master degree is highly preferred), with minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong in market sense and financial product knowledge, familiar with China’s economy and policies would be a distinctive advantage
  • Passes in HKSI Examinations (Qualified under SFO for handling Regulated Activities Types 1, 4 & 9) is a must
  • Proficient knowledge in computer applications and Chinese Word Processing
