Engineer (Overhead line system replacement project) (Ref: 2400006V)

We are currently recruiting the following positions:

• Renewal Engineer
• Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of supervisors and technical staff to execute the replacement work
• Manage budget, tender evaluation and contract administration
• Coordinate with other departments on design / procurement issues to ensure that replacement works can be executed smoothly
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation of the railway, as well as resolve on-site technical problems and implement solutions 
• Optimize the replacement programme as well as the maintenance schedule to create synergy effects
• Formulate future maintenance strategies and work instructions / standards after the completion of the replacement project
• Perform other overhead line related duties when required

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in HV / OHL / traction power system maintenance, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution in a related discipline, Grade “C” or "H" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and a valid Hong Kong driving licence class 1 and 2 are preferred
• Sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of railway supply equipment is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and proactively

Remarks

• Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered.
• Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
