The Centre for China Studies (CCS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a department-level unit that offers English-taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (including MA, MPhil and PhD) and commits to the highest international quality of interdisciplinary teaching and research on modern and contemporary China. The Centre is inviting applications for a Lecturer to teach courses in one or more core areas of the programme, including the history of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese religions and Sociology.

Applicants should possess:

i.         a PhD degree in related area(s);

ii.        at least 3 years of teaching experience;

iii.       excellent communication skills in English;

iv.      the ability to teach in Chinese;

v.       demonstrated capability for high-quality teaching at the university level; and

vi.      a strong commitment to teaching.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for up to two years, commencing August 2024, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
