Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain network security controls on the campus environment
• Manage, deploy and hands-on technical operational support for the network and security devices including but not limited to firewall, VPN, Secure MTA, Endpoint Protection System, DLP and 2FA
• Perform investigation diagnosis for security incidents or events
• Provide support for the network security compliance check, the optimization and network control construction of related processes
• Manage and provide operational support for the campus network infrastructure including the data network, Wi-Fi system, IP Phone system and IoT gateway, hostel network, remote campus, and remote backup sites
• Develop and manage data centres and LAN room facilities and provide operational support for hosting services
• Prepare detailed configurations, documentation and operation guide, and liaise with vendors to set up network infrastructure
• May be required to work in shifts and irregular hours
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of working experience in IT, with at least 3 years of technical expertise and solid skillsets in Network Security and Networking Infrastructure
• Experience in managing cybersecurity of campus IT infrastructure including Wi-Fi, Network Segmentation, Active Directory, Remote Access, Multi-Cloud environment, SSO/MFA, etc.
• Solid hands-on experience in managing LAN, WAN, DCI, wireless, L2 - L3 routing and switching, voice, load-balancing, cloud service, and high resilience infrastructure
• Hands-on experience in Firewall, EDR, SIEM, Secure Email Gateway, Network Access Control, WAF, IDS/IPS, network products of Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, H3C, Arista, F5, Huawei, and/or MSS handling
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies, Data Protection, SSO/MFA, operating systems, and cloud security
• Clear understanding of network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, STP, IPSec, VRRP, IP/TCP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and VXLAN
• Familiar with data centre management, including uninterruptable power supply, cooling, and cabling management systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in written and verbal English
• Good customer service skills and positive working attitude

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at the relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
