Engineer (Asset Replacement Management – Power Distribution) (Ref: 24000070)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineering and technical staff or contractor to execute high voltage and low voltage asset replacement work
• Review work programme, method statement, design submission, commissioning procedure, O&M manual, and contingency plan in compliance with the project and site requirement
• Undertake administration of project documents, site records and as-built drawings
• Ensure work safety and quality in compliance with corporate, contract and statutory requirements
• Identify and resolve on-site technical problems and conflicts with other parties
• Coordinate with other departments on work execution to ensure safe and reliable railway operation
• Perform duties for other projects, operation interface or maintenance works when required

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline 
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in HV / OHL / traction power system asset replacement, testing and commissioning, of which at least 2 years should be at supervisory level
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution in a related discipline, Grade “C” or "H" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and a valid Hong Kong Driving Licence Class 1 and 2 are preferred
• Sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of railway supply equipment is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and proactively

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract term
• Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
• Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
