Legal and Compliance Assistant

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law or a related discipline.
• Internship experience in compliance, trading or financial field is preferred.
• Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
• Independent, responsible, and able to work under pressure with a positive working attitude.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice on and handle legal and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and revise new or existing internal policies and procedures Provide advice and support on compliance issues including anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, market conduct etc.
• Liaise with counterparties, exchanges, regulatory bodies, external counsels, and other professionals.
• Provide advice on legal disputes and litigation/arbitration, communicate, and manage external counsel.
• Assist in contract or agreement drafting, reviewing and negotiation.
• Manage company secretarial and corporate governance works.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments or projects as required.
