Network SME (Cloud Implementation) - Tier 1 US Financial Firm

Client Details

Our client, a major and well-known financial institution headquartered in the US, is looking for a network specialist to join their global networking team as part of their IT transformation intiative. The successful candidate must have network design and hands-on engineering experience in order to be able to lead network projects across the APAC region. Cloud network implementation (AWS preferred) is also a must. Reporting to the Global Network Head in the US, excellent communication skills in English is a must. Travel will be required.

Description

• Lead and drive network projects across the APAC region, ensuring successful implementation and delivery.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, with atleast 5-7 years in networking
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, design network solutions, and provide technical guidance.
• Develop and maintain network architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and optimized performance.
• Troubleshoot network issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance the network infrastructure.
• Utilize and configure Cisco products, including routers, switches, wireless technologies, LAN setups, etc.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree at a minimum, in IT, or any relevant discipline
• Solid experience in networking, including network design, architecture, and hands-on engineering
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco products (routers, switches, wireless technologies, LAN setups, etc.)
• Solid understanding of cloud network implementation, preferably with AWS
• Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices
• Proven track record of leading successful network projects across multiple locations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues
• CCIE certifications are highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
